Now blooming.
Littlefield Flowers is a micro-farm offering hyper-local specialty cut flowers, floral art, and weird little gifts. We bring our garden to you while giving back to the community.
Meet Cheyne
My backyard micro-farm happened initially by accident and then by obsessive intention.
Like many people, the pandemic nudged me to take refuge in the garden with my family. It didn’t take long for me to realize I didn’t garden the way other people did. I loved peonies. Instead of buying a few blooming plants to nurture, I bought a bushel of roots.
In 2024, I left my job in tech to commit to a year of service. I volunteered at every public garden and community food farm who would have me. I spent 450+ hours planning, digging, mulching, planting, harvesting, and removing invasive plants. I fell more in love with nature and community service than ever before.
I founded Littlefield Flowers as a way to share my gifts from the garden while sustainably expanding my service efforts. By supporting my flowers, you're directly supporting my dedication to growing food for those in need, protecting our natural resources, and making our community a little more joyful.
FAQs
Where are you located? Can I visit?
My micro-farm is part of our private home in Westchester, New York, and is therefore closed to the public. This spring, I’ll begin local delivery of fresh flowers to customers in our area.
What do you sell?
Primarily flowers I grow right here on my property. In the online shop, you’ll find some sweet little offerings from local artists and some of my own illustration work, which I focus on in the cold season.
Why local flowers?
By purchasing flowers that were grown in your community, you’re getting them fresher than anywhere else. You lessen the environmental footprint of long flights importing flowers and support the maintenance of a pollinator paradise.
How can I learn more about the volunteer work you’re doing? Can I help?
This might be a little forward but – I love you?
I’m still trying to figure out the best way to transparently share my volunteer efforts. For now, I’ll politely ask you to sign up for my newsletter. My intention is to share monthly local volunteer opportunities and updates on my contributions.
Can you teach me to grow flowers?
I’d be honored! Drop me a line via the contact page and I’ll get in touch about garden coaching services.
